THIS IS A RESEARCH OPPORTUNITY- PLEASE SEE ATTACHED PROJECT BRIEF FOR DETAILS OF HOW TO SUBMIT PROPOSAL BY 17th OCT. Eastleigh Borough Council requires a quantitative and qualitative assessment of the future need for retail and commercial leisure floorspace in the borough as part of the evidence base for the emerging Local Plan. The Council also needs to assess whether its emerging policies (including those on retail frontages) are sound and compliant with the National Planning Policy Framework (NPPF). This is a research opportunity to assess retail and commercial leisure needs to inform policy development, with a specific focus upon Eastleigh town centre.
