Tender description

The purpose of this procurement is to establish the correct contractual basis for the provision of services, in relation to the external waste collection/management. The customer preference is to affect a 3 year contract, with an optional 2 year extension. The intention is that the price offered by the tenderers involved in the process should be fixed for the 3 years, with a price adjustment possible based on the consumer pricing index published by the Office of National Statistics (or equivalent) for the optional extension. The key aims are: — To implement a contract that more accurately reflects the evolved customer requirements of the Estates department — Develop the reporting regimes and management information provided by the successful bidder(s), introducing a well-defined fit-for-purpose suite of reporting tools and documentation for contract management — Look for the introduction of any new innovative technologies, and approaches relating to sustainability.
