Who Speclialist Work With A multi-disciplinary agile team including UX designer, user researcher, front-end developer, back-end developer, content designer, web ops, tech arch, delivery manager and service manager What Specialists Work On The Developer will work with the team to improve the capabilities of our website search service, including support for geographic datasets and data discovery. Where the Work Takes Place Newport, South Wales Early Market Engagement Working Arrangements Work will be on-site in Newport (Mon-Fri) - there is the potential for work from home days by agreement with Service Manager, Work Location Newport, South Wales Security Clearance Disclosure Scotland security vetting. Additional T&Cs Skills & Experience Significant experience with at least one programming language commonly used for back-end web development - ideally Java. Significant experience with ElasticSearch Knowledge of the latest secure coding practices (e.g. OWASP). Experience with multiple web development frameworks. Experience working with relational or non-relational databases. Experience working in an agile team using BDD and TDD. Experience of complex projects enabling the candidate to input and lead on design decisions. Experience of working as a developer within an agile team. e.g. Using Scrum, Kanban or similar methodologies.
