Tender description
The Authority is awarding contracts for Homelessness Prevention Support Services, for those who are experiencing difficulties in their housing situation, or in transition from actual or threatened homelessness, or homeless or at risk of becoming homeless in North Yorkshire with the aim of achieving positive outcomes and developing or sustaining a person's capacity to live independently within the community, thus preventing loss of their home or tenancy. North Yorkshire Homelessness Prevention Support Services are commissioned by NorthYorkshire County Council on behalf of a partnership of Health and Adult Services, Children and Young People's Service, and the 7 District/Borough Council Housing Departments. This service is to be delivered to those aged 18 and over at risk of homelessness and is flexible to be able to respond quickly to the diverse range of situations that people who require services are experiencing. Changing Lives Housing Related Support Service is a service in Scarborough for chronic rough sleepers and homeless people who have a range of complex needs that comprises of 6 bed hostel provision and outreach and resettlement support. The main aim of this service is to change lives of the most chaotic homeless individuals in the Scarborough Borough to enable them to achieve positive and/or sustainable outcomes, whilst reducing the financial strain on local resources. Changing Lives links to and supports the principles from HM Government Vision to end rough sleeping: No Second Night Out nationwide.
