Tender description

Buckinghamshire County Council is committed to improving the health and wellbeing of its population and targeting services to those areas of greatest need. As part of a programme of initiatives to improve the health of the most disadvantaged, the Council were seeking a suitably qualified and experienced organisation to provide a Health and Wellbeing Community Development and Health Improvement Programme within Buckinghamshire. The organisation will take a community development approach to health improvement, and through this will build the knowledge skills and confidence of individuals and also build capacity to support health and wellbeing in the local community. As part of the approach BCC required the provider to have a local presence within a target community of Aylesbury. Information included within the Invitation To Tender (ITT) documents Organisations wishing to participate in this process, needed to register with the Buckinghamshire Business Portal and follow the instructions. The link below was used and providers asked to follow the instructions on the website: https://www.supplybucksbusiness.org.uk Tenders were returned via the Portal. The tender return date was midday on Monday, 27.6.2016. Tenders received after this time and date were not accepted. The contract was awarded initially for 3 years with a possibility to extend for a further 2 years, depending on performance and availability of funding. The Council reserves the right to vary the contract to include additional or complimentary services.
