Tender description

Genomic Laboratory Services. The procurement for a new genetic and genomic laboratory service and infrastructure for the NHS in England will commence in November 2016. The aim of the procurement is to create a world class resource in the use of genetic and genomic technologies within the NHS, and the provision of high quality, equitable and cost effective services. The procurement will include the provision of genomic testing for patients with, or at risk of, inherited disorders and sporadic genetic disorders, for NHS England. The model of future provision will encompass Genomic Central Laboratory Hubs, providing state of the art facilities with specialist skills and expertise who will be expected to work with Genomic Local Laboratory Hubs (local laboratory service providers).
