Tender description

This contract is for the supply of tropical hardwood piles and tropical hardwood planks for the Groyne Construction Programme 2016/2017. The requirements have been broken down into 5 Lots: Lot 1 — Strength Class D70 Piles (138 required); Lot 2 — Strength Class D70 or Higher Timber Piles (9 required); Lot 3 — Strength Class D50 or D70 Timber Piles (102 required); Lot 4 — Strength Class D70 Planks (584 required); Lot 5 — Strength Class D50 or Above Planks (1048 required); The Council procured the Supply of Timber under the guidance from CPET (pre 31.3.2016) and the DEFRA publication ‘UK Government Timber Procurement Policy, Timber Procurement Advice Note’ (TPP) currently published in its 6th Edition. The construction of the Groynes will take place in the Autumn and Winter of 2016/17. The 1st date for delivery is 16.11.2016.
