Tender description

DFID seeks a team of highly qualified evaluators experienced in evaluating research into, and the impact of, work supporting the prevention of violence against women and girls. The subject of this call is a process and outcome evaluation of our What Works Programme http://iati.dfid.gov.uk/iati_documents/3942847.odt Evaluation Aims 1. This evaluation will provide information on the delivery of the programme to determine expenditure has achieved the intended outputs and outcome. It will provide an assessment on how the 3 components have worked together as a whole programme. 2. This evaluation will be independent from the programme components and any other monitoring and evaluation being undertaken in this programme. The evaluation process will enhance the work of the implementing partners and demonstrate the difference their research is making to policy and programming. 3. The focus will be on improving our understanding of reach, outcome, appropriate results measurement practice, and any emerging lessons for strategy and/or operations form the performance of the 3 components. 4. The purpose of the independent evaluation is: — To evaluate the extent to which the overall What Works programme has contributed to, ‘improved investment in evidence-based VAWG policies and programmes across the global south’. (Outcome objective of the Log Frame).
