Tender description

The Authority is seeking the services of an architectural designer to provide a design team to develop the initial design proposals for the lighthouse and former keeper's cottages on St Mary's island at Whitley Bay to RIBA work stage 3 (phase 1), with progression to RIBA work stages 4 — 7 (phase 2). Phase 2 will only proceed if the Authority are successful in obtaining Heritage Lottery Funding stage 2 bid. The Authority reserves the right not to proceed with phase 2 subject to the outcome of the stage 2 Heritage Lottery Bid. The approximate value for capital works would be in the region of 2 000 000 GBP. It is anticipated that any proposed contract period would be phase 1 complete by March 2017, and if phase 2 is approved capital work to be complete by March 2019. Completed tenders are to be returned by the deadline of before noon on 10.11.2016 via the electronic tendering system on the portal https://procontract.due-north.com
