The provision of hot water services plate heat exchangers to serve Maternity and T Blocks

Tender description

T block; contains the Trusts Endoscopy Unit, Renal Dialysis, CT Scanning, Blood Sciences, Cellular Pathology, Cardiology, Pacemaker Clinic and Woodcroft Outpatients Clinic, clinical services. The T block plant room is located at basement level and the hot water services are provided from two existing steam calorifiers. One of these calorifiers has been removed. Maternity block; contains the Trusts maternity, birthing centre and women's services, clinical services. The Maternity block plant room is located at basement level and the hot water services are provided from two existing steam calorifiers. One of these calorifiers has been removed. This project is for the removal of the existing calorifiers in both buildings and the supply installation testing and commissioning of two new plate heat exchangers to serve the buildings. The works shall be complete with all required control systems, electrical services and valves for the correct function of the works to the satisfaction of the client. The works shall be undertaken in such a manner and sequence that the hot water provision to the hospital is maintained or temporary services are provided at all times. The Trust requires that the works shall be completed within in a 6-week period ending on Sunday 17th April 2016.
