Tender description

This PIN notice constitutes a Request for Information (RFI) for management information systems for institutions in the UK further education sector. The relevant MI systems are to support the operations of Student management/student record, Finance and (Integrated) HR and Payroll. Institutions within the UK further education sector are under sustained financial pressure. The structure of the FE provision within each area of the UK is being examined in a process known as ‘Area Reviews’. This is expected to lead to further consolidation within the sector, with many colleges merging together. The back office functions within the affected colleges will need to be merged to support the new, combined colleges and to realise cost savings in doing so. 1 of the ways in which Jisc aims to support FE colleges is to establish a catalogue of software-as-a-service offerings covering the main IT functions that are commonly used. Initially, Jisc is looking to cover: Student management/student records (SRS), (integrated, wherever possible) HR/ payroll (HRP), finance and virtual learning environments (VLE).
