Tender description

The Crown Office and Procurator Fiscal Service (COPFS) intends to procure a contract for the purpose of providing a secure, reliable and cost effective internal mail service to transfer large volumes of legal related material between their offices across Scotland. This is a business critical service that requires regular daily mail pick-up and delivery by specified times during business hours from Monday to Friday. COPFS needs to move legal documents and correspondence between its various offices throughout Scotland. The majority of internal mail and documents are sent between and from the 2 largest offices — the Direct Delivery Offices — in Edinburgh and Glasgow. COPFS is the sole Prosecution and Death Investigation Authority in Scotland. It is responsible for the prosecution of crime in Scotland, the investigation of sudden or suspicious deaths, and the investigation of complaints against the police. COPFS' headquarters is located at 29 Chambers Street, Edinburgh. This office provides the central administrative and corporate function for the service as well as delivering its legal operational role. Offices of the Procurators Fiscal are spread throughout the whole of Scotland, across 40 different locations. Note: The buyer is using PCS-Tender to carry out this procurement process.
