Tender description

The metropolitan borough of Kirklees is one of five (5) districts in West Yorkshire. Kirklees includes some of the best known industrial and commercial centres in the United Kingdom, including Huddersfield, Dewsbury and Batley and stretches from the high moorlands of the Pennines around Marsden and Holmfirth, to the edges of Bradford, Leeds and Wakefield. Building Services are the Direct Labour Organisation section of the Council. Working with Kirklees Neighbourhood Housing Limited, a wholly Council owned arms-length management organisation formed in 2002, they are responsible for the repair and maintenance of over twenty thousand (20,000) domestic Council properties. Scaffolding structures will be required for Building Services' operatives and their sub-contractors to undertake safe work at height to domestic and other residential properties across the Kirklees district and surrounding areas with occasional works to schools and public buildings within the same geographical area.
