North Yorkshire Homelessness Prevention Support Services are currently commissioned by NYCC including the 7 District/Borough Council Housing Departments. The intention is to deliver services to those experiencing difficulties in their housing situation, or in transition from actual or threatened homelessness, or are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless in North Yorkshire. There will be a clear defined pathway for people with issues that have led them to be or have put them at risk of being homeless. Service providers will work in partnership with other services. It is envisaged the main aspects of service delivery will encompass: — Support in LA temporary accommodation; — Short term focussed housing related support; — Community housing related support. NYCC is engaging with the market to develop the specification and determine how the service will be delivered which may mean dividing the contract divided into lots.
