Tender description

This is a Prior Information Notice (PIN) only: Publication and Call for Competition will be conducted once scope of work is fully defined and approved. DFID Tanzania are in the process of completing programme Terms of Reference to be included for ‘Service Provider to design and implement the AIM 4Resilience programme’.The aim is to verify, through an Early Market Engagement Event that our approach/requirement is clearly defined, obtainable and introduce the requirement to potential markets whilst inviting suggestions for improvement to ToR clarity. The programme intends to support Tanzania achieve sustainable growth through improved response to climate change and activation of climate finance mechanisms. The programme will achieve this through four components: 1. Institutional capacity strengthening within the Government of the United Republic of Tanzania (GoURT) and the Revolutionary Government of Zanzibar (RGoZ); 2. Support for climate funds at national, local and sectoral levels; 3. Support for sustainable private sector markets to encourage innovation; and 4. Establishment of a monitoring, evaluation and learning (MEL) unit. The 5 year programme will consist of a Design Phase of 9 months to design the implementation phase for the programme as a whole across the four components, finalise work plans and results frameworks; and a 48 months Implementation Phase in which the Service Provider will manage, implement and monitor the programme, including partner activities delivering individual components.
