Dorset County Council is seeking expressions of interest from organisations interested in taking over buildings currently designated as youth centres for community use. Dorset County Council youth centre buildings: community use offer Background Dorset County Council is changing the way it provides youth services: • The council will provide a more proactive and targeted youth service, close to where young people are • The council will support social action - helping young people to design and run their own activities • The council will allocate £200,000 to support communities that wish to provide places to go and things to do for young people and that crowd funding (where communities can help raise money) is also used to boost this support • The buildings which are currently used as youth centres will be offered for community use - unless Dorset County Council has an interest in retaining the building for other purposes Please email the attached form to: FTForChildren@dorsetcc.gov.uk on or before 10th Feb 2016.
