Erewash Borough Council EBCT 215 The provision of Civic Transport for Erewash Borough Council

Tender description

The Council has a requirement for the provision of Civic Transport for the mayor, deputy mayor and other such persons involved in various civic events. The successful Contractor is required to provide a flexible chauffeuring service, within the Erewash Borough boundary and, on some occasions, outside of the Erewash Borough boundary. Out of Borough journeys are mainly within the County of Derbyshire e.g. Buxton, Derby, Swadlincote but includes one journey each year to London. There may well be occasions when requests for attendance are required at short notice and therefore flexibility is required. As well as providing a chauffeuring service, the successful Contractor will be required to accompany the civic head into the venue and collect at the end of the event. The contract start date is 1st April 2016 for an initial period of 3 years. There is an option to extend for up to a further 12 month period. Maximum contract length is 4 years.
