NHS Arden & Greater East Midlands Commissioning Support Unit (Arden & GEM CSU) on behalf of NHS England (Midlands and East), are seeking suitably qualified and experienced providers to bid to deliver dental services in Leicester, Leicestershire, Rutland, Lincoln, Lincolnshire. The procurement is split in to lots. The expectations are that these services will offer increased patient access and funding will be linked to KPI achievement within the current budgets. The successful provider(s) will need to demonstrate that they can deliver continuously high-quality services and will be responsive to the needs of the local populations. Provider(s) will be assessed on an on-going basis to ensure they deliver the high-quality services required. These services must be provided by Dentists and Dental healthcare professionals, the provider(s) will be expected to: • Deliver primary care dental services which will be accessible, convenient and responsive and/or • Deliver special care dentistry services which will be accessible, convenient and responsive, • Design services around the needs of patients and carers, ensuring they are offered more choice and a greater say in their treatment, • Have processes in place to evaluate and continually improve on patient satisfaction. This opportunity will be open to the entire market. It should be noted that whilst current providers are able to bid, the contracts being offered will remain separate from each other and any contracts a bidder may currently hold or be bidding for. The services will need to be mobilised for and commence on 01st December 2016. Subject to Efficiency Control Committee (ECC) approval, the contracts' end dates will be 30th November 2023, with the option to extend (subject to performance and commissioner decision). Should the ECC, of NHS England, not approve the length proposed of these contracts the relevant parties shall be notified as soon as possible. The Invitation to Tender (ITT) documentation was made available on 29th January 2016 and should be completed and all bids submitted by the closing date of 5pm on 15th March 2016. All submissions will be evaluated using the scoring criteria which is contained within the ITT -Document 1. Clarifications may be asked during the procurement process, the deadline for clarification questions is 5pm on 8th March 2016.
