Xenon Plasma Focused Ion Beam- PFIB

The University of Surrey, acting through the Faculty of Engineering and Physical Sciences has been funded £960,000 inclusive of ALL local UK taxes, by the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (“EPSRC”) to establish a new Xe plasma FIB facility in the UK. As part of this research project, the University of Surrey is seeking to purchase a focused ion beam microscope with a Xe plasma ion source and integrated electron column via a competitive tendering procedure following the Public Contracts Regulations 2015. Ideally, all the equipment must be made available, installed and commissioned by the 31st March 2017. Should the preferred supplier default on the contract for whatever reason, the University reserves the right to award the contract to the second preferred supplier and so on and so forth. All Output and Input Data shall remain under the control of the University and shall not be distributed without written consent from the University of Surrey.
