Voluntary Sector Support Services to the Voluntary Sector in Barnsley Please note this exercise is a competitive grant process and grants are only available for third sector organisations only . All applicants should note that successful grant applicants must provide services from a Barnsley Base Barnsley MBC and Barnsley CCG invite grant applicants form third sector organisations for the following packages in relation to the above Volunteering – More engaged and active communities through increased and more purposeful volunteering and social action. Including, developing and embedding a comprehensive volunteering strategy for the borough as a means of stimulating aspiration and improving job readiness • Sector Advice and support – More resilient and sustainable organisations through the provision of support, training, advice and information. • Maximising funding opportunities – More and a greater range of VCSE activity through increased funding to the sector in Barnsley • Engagement and leadership – A sector that is better able to engage in policy development and helping to deliver the Future Council vision for Barnsley “Working together for a brighter future a better Barnsley” The packages will enable specialist providers with relevant expertise to bid for either individually, or combined as a package of two, three or four whilst encouraging innovation and market development. The four packages are supported by a set of clear outcomes that define the difference that BMBC’s support aims to achieve which are detailed in the grant documentation The grants will run from the 1st April 2017 for 2 years with an option to extend for a further year at the discretion of the council The grant funding per package for the first two years is Active Citizens & Volunteering £60,000 per annum Sector advice and support £35,000 per annum Maximising funding opportunities £35,000 per annum Engagement & Leadership £18,000 per annum Keywords: Voluntary
