Tender description

The University of Southampton is seeking a comprehensive upgrade to an existing excimer laser ablation sampling system installed at the Ocean and Earth Science Geochemistry Facility. The laser ablation system we wish to upgrade is a New Wave UP193FX containing an ATL ATLEX-SI ArF excimer laser, details in Annex 1.1-1.4 The system was installed in 2009 and is housed in a Class 1000 cleanroom. We wish to obtain a laser ablation system that has comparable specifications to the current generation of excimer laser ablation systems at a reduced overall cost by reusing components from our existing system.
