Tender description

The superconducting (SC) Cryo-Free Magnets (CFM) will be integrated into, and become a critical part of, the high power broadband mm-wave/terahertz gyro-amplifiers at the University of Strathclyde (UoS). The magnet will feature a novel magnetic structure specially devised to generate a configurable ‘cusp’ magnetic field profile needed for the generation of the rotating electron beam and hence efficient amplification of mm/terahertz waves by the gyro-amplifier.
