Why the Work is Being Done CTI design, engineer and deliver critical technology platforms onto which our products, applications and client services are delivered; Our platforms are sourced, integrated or self-built, as appropriate, giving us the ability to source component services or end-to-end solutions as required. We are disaggreagating from large mono contracts & building our own internal capability within the organisation. Problem to Be Solved Partner required to support the programme team providing the following services: 1) The design and build of complex network and security infrastructures, and 3rd line support of LAN/WLAN & WAN infrastructure 2) The design and build of cloud infrastructure in AWS and Azure 3) Manage the introduction of core infrastructure projects into the Live Service environment 4) Security assurance, guidance and advice for HO projects 5) Project and Programme management and delivery of core infrastructure projects from Initiation to Closure, following internal governance structures 6) Data Centre engineering build and management 7) Development of a single identity platform solution Who Are the Users N/A Early Market Engagement The programme has already engaged with a number of suppliers through earlier G Cloud procurement exercise Work Already Done A number of Core Technology projects have already been delivered. Additionally, we have taken over the management of several services from the legacy suppliers Existing Team The existing programme is a blend of Civil Servants complemented by contract staff and specialist companies. Total team size is in the region of 80. Current Phase Not applicable Work Location Westminster initially - althought the team will need to be flexible with working at multiple sites within the M25 Working Arrangments The CTI team is expected to be onsite 5 days a week - to promote quick collaboration and team interaction across the varied services. Security Clearance All staff engaged on the programme must be security cleared to SC level (or be prepared to undergo clearance process prior to being engaged). Additional T&Cs Additional terms under the following categories will apply: Financial Reporting Acceptance Certificates Change in level of resources required Day Rate Card Expenses Skills & Experience Have demonstrable success in the delivery of core infrastructure projects/programmes within the last 12 months, using industry project management methodologies Demonstrable experience of matrix-managing a multi-disciplinary programme team within the last 12 months Have demonstrable experience in reporting, planning, risk, dependency, financial and change management aspects of a Programme Management Office within the last 12 months Demonstrable expertise in the transition of projects into a live service environment within a government department within the last 12 months Have demonstrable experience of the design and build of network infrastructures within the last 12 months Demonstrable experience of: o Cisco (Routers, Switches, Nexus, ISE), Checkpoint, Juniper and Fortigate Firewalls. Detailed knowledge of Routing protocols, TCP/IP suite and strong analytical skills (MPLS, VPLS, BGP, OSPF) Good knowledge of Wireless technologies, design and deployment (CAPWAP, EoIP, 802.1x, ISE, Cisco MSE) Demonstrable experience of providing 3rd line support to LAN/WLAN/WAN infrastructure within the last 12 months Demonstrable experience of the following management tools: Solarwindso, Cisco prime, Checkpoint Evidence of the following qualifications: CCNA – or equivalent, CCNP – or equivalent, CCIE – or equivalent Demonstrable experience in providing quality security designs, including networks, cloud, data centres, end-user compute, file storage, security infrastructure, guidance to core infrastructure projects, to ensure IT systems are secure Experience in the Identification and management of security risks, and the assessment of their operational impacts Demonstrable knowledge of key security infrastructure components, e.g. firewalls, web gateways, anti-virus. 3+ Years’ experience in AWS services including: EC2, Direct Connect, VPC, RDS, S3, Storage Gateway, ElasticSearch, Auto Scaling, Import/Export, Snowball, CloudTrail, Config, KMS, CloudHSM and IAM 3+ Years’ experience in Azure cloud services including but not limited to: Virtual Machines, Express Route, Virtual Network, Storage, StorSimple, Cloud Services, CDN, Site Recovery, MFA 3+ Years’ experience in Azure cloud services including but not limited to: Key Vault, Service Bus, Cache, Operational Insights, Traffic Manager, Application Gateway, Security Centre, VPN Gateway, Load Balancer 3+ Years’ experience of Microsoft Active Directory and Identity Management tools, in particular Active Directory Federation Services (ADFS) and integration with MS Azure AD/Office365. Design, plan and implement all support for private cloud infrastructures within Home Office data Centres Further detail to the above requirements can be provided if requested Nice to Haves Experience in skills and knowledge transfer of core infrastructure projects No. of Suppliers to Evaluate 10 Proposal Criteria Willingness to align with the current programme approach Team structure, organisational make-up and quality of submitted CVs.
