Tender description

Construction of a new road, including two bridges. One of the bridges will cross a railway. The site is in the townland of Ballygarraun, Athenry, Co. Galway. The works are a continuation of the Phase 1 roadworks that were completed in 2010. Phase 1 links the M6 Motorway and regional Road R348. Phase 2 will extend northwards from the R348 and will include the following, along with other works: — Single carriageway over 600m in length; — Footway / Cycleway of varying widths and length; — A roundabout; — A road over rail bridge; — A road over road bridge; — Earthworks; — Fencing; — Safety barrier systems and parapets; — Drainage; — Signing and lining; — Lighting; — Works for statutory authorities; — Private and public utilities inclusive of diversion works; — Ducting and chambers; — Accommodation works and water supplies.
