Tender description

The University of Derby is contributing to the delivery of an ERDF project in the East Midlands region. The project is intended to support SMEs with innovation, allowing access to consultancy and equipment to enable them to try out new technologies potentially leading to new products and ultimately supporting regional growth. The purpose of this Wire EDM tender is to contribute to the 3D metal printing capability that can be offered to SMEs by assisting with cutting off printed parts on 3d print build plates. Also support other projects with Wire EDM capability, helping to access the Enabling Innovation project through the University of Derby. This specification relates to procurement of a Computer Numerical Controlled (CNC) Multi Axis, Wire Electric Discharge Machine (EDM). This includes some accessories to support its use, such as a clamp kit. Site Visit dates to the Chesterfield site will be advised
