Tender description

Portsmouth City Council (the Council) has awarded a contract for the construction of a new multi-modal transport interchange to replace the existing facilities located at the The Hard, Portsmouth. The contract was let via a 2 stage procurement process with the 1st stage concerned with the appointment of a Contractor via competitive tender to develop the design, programme and cost in collaboration with the Council and its design under an open book pre-construction services agreement. The pre-construction services agreement was awarded on 30.6.2015. Following design, cost and programme sign off by both parties the construction contract commenced on 1.9.2015 and is due for completion by 7.3.2017. The value of the construction contract is approximately 8 600 000 GBP and has been let using the NEC3 Engineering and Construction Contract — Option C Target Cost.
