Tender description

Scottish Borders Council is considering how best to provide services to children and young people through Self Directed Support. The Council is interested in receiving expressions of interest from all types of providers — from individuals through to organisations — who are providing a range of support to children and young people. Provisionally, the following types of service are being considered with the aim of capturing a wide and diverse range of support that children and families may require: — Support delivered in the child's own home. This might include 1-1 personal or practical care, support & supervision, supporting children and young people to access social/recreational events, activities & opportunities, or respite provision through the day and overnight; — Support in the community — Pre and after school clubs, holiday clubs, or group sessions/opportunities; — Care in the providers own home — such as child minding; — Care in the providers own premises — such as an activity centre; — Residential respite provision (through the day and overnight) in the providers own home/premises such as residential activity centres/residential respite foster care; The Council is also interested in understanding what other children and young peoples' services are available and would like to hear from all interested parties.
