Halton Borough Council is seeking to procure waste reception, recycling and transfer services to deal with a number of waste streams it collects from its Open Spaces Services and Waste Management Functions. Comprising bulky household items, such as furniture, beds, mattresses. (This Lot does not include ‘white goods’, such as cookers and refrigerators) Estimated Annual Tonnage is 130. Waste from mechanical street sweeping machines Estimated Annual Tonnage is 1000. Mixed waste materials collected from street cleaning operations such as litter and fly tipped items. Estimated Annual Tonnage is 1000. Mixed waste collected from businesses, retail outlets and schools Estimated Annual Tonnage is 1400. Recyclable materials collected from offices and business premises, such as cardboard, paper, metal cans and plastic and glass bottles Estimated Annual Tonnage is 25. Waste collected from the Council's Landscape Maintenance operations, such as tree prunings Estimated Annual Tonnage is 330. Various sized vehicle tyres Estimated Annual Tonnage is 7. Cement bonded asbestos. Provision of 8 yard skips for placement in public places for the separate depositing of the following materials; Metals Wood Rubble and Soil Garden Waste General Waste. Placement and emptying of large capacity skips for scrap metal at HBC premises Placement and emptying of large capacity skips for landscape and horticultural waste at HBC premises.
