Provision of GPS Equipment

Tender description

Sefton Council and Wyre Council require new survey equipment to support the delivery of the North West Regional Monitoring programme and wider flood risk management projects. This will include topographic surveys of inland and coastal landscapes, inspection of assets (coastal and inland), navigate to features/assets. The equipment must able to capture XYZ data to high professional survey standards. Working in both inland and coastal environments the equipment will need to be built to a high standard and able to withstand extreme weather/environmental conditions. Surveyors will either be working on foot or capturing data whilst riding a quad bike, therefore the equipment is required to be suitable for these methodologies. Surveyors are often working alongside high dunes, large bodies of water and tree lines, therefore, the ability to work in these environments, limiting multi-pathing and loss of satellite lock would be beneficial.
