Tender description

This notice relates to a contract covering areas of housing stock within London and Essex. The contract includes both the monitoring, treatment and eradication of pests in both individual and communal dwellings, inclusive of internal and external areas as required. This notice relates to a contract covering areas of housing stock within London and Essex as detailed below: — North East (including Haringey, Waltham Forest, Newham and Tower Hamlets). — Lewisham (including Bromley). — Hackney. — Charlton Triangle (Greenwich). — Essex region. — North West Region (including Barnet, Harrow, Brent, Ealing and Hillingdon). — South East Region (Southwark). — South West Region (including Wandsworth, Lambeth, Merton, Sutton and Croydon). — Islington. — Old Oak Region (including Westminster, Kensington and Chelsea, Hammersmith and Fulham). Charlton Triangle and Old Oak Plus are subsidiaries of Family Mosaic and for whom Family Mosaic carry out pest control treatment and proofing works. Orders for pest control treatment and proofing works may be placed for Charlton Triangle and/or Old Oak Plus properties but neither Charlton Triangle nor Old Oak Plus will be a party to the contract. The contract includes both Pest Control Treatment, minor Proofing Works and recommendations for Customers for on-going pest control. a) Pest Control Treatment The Works will comprise of but are not limited to: The monitoring, treatment and eradication of pests in both individual and Communal dwellings, inclusive of internal and external areas as required. The Contractor is to use different formulations such as spray, bait, space treatment, dust and any formulation agreed by the Employer. If the dwelling is heavily furnished and/or the infestation cannot be treated effectively using conventional formulations a space treatment may be used, in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions, providing the prior written approval of the Employer has been obtained. b) Pest Proofing Works Minor Proofing to aid the eradication of a pest within a treatment programme The Works will comprise of but are not limited to: Investigation of pest entry points both internally and externally to the dwelling including for example removal of kitchen plinths and bathroom panels and reinstating, removing skirting boards, installation of pigeon spiking/netting and the completion of appropriate proofing following eradication to restrict future pest access with materials agreed by the Employer for example; wire wool and cement.
