Tender description

The Haringey CCG and Islington CCG are intending to commission a joint community gynaecology service to: — Help patients avoid hospital visits, — Enable staff to develop a holistic view of the needs of each individual, — Allow care to be delivered in a more familiar and convenient setting, — Provide a ‘joined up’ service transition between primary, community and secondary care, — Improve patient experience, — Reduce intervention and follow up rates. The intention of the Market Testing event on the 6.10.2016 afternoon is to determine aspects of the specification including length of the contract, lot structure (if any) and opportunities for collaboration. The CCG's hope to establish a 1 stop community (outpatient) gynaecology service with newly designed and improved clinical pathways using a community tariff. The service will treat patients with a broad range of conditions. The service will be provided by hospital consultants and / or a specialist nurses, with strong local and clinical support for appropriate gynaecological procedures being delivered as outpatient appointments. The population of the 2 CCG's is approximately 500 000 with around 86 GP practices The CCGs are looking for a single provider for the services but reserve the right to award the contract in lots (for each CCG), the CCGs may require the provider to enter into separate contracts with each CCG or 1 contract with 1 or all CCGs.
