FORMER CONVENT LIBRARY building ASHBURTON PARK - opportunity for businesses, voluntary and community groups

Tender description

Next summer will see the fully refurbished former convent library building reopen after £1m of investment. We are now looking for businesses and groups to manage and make best use of this community hub, bringing it back to life for local people and users of the park. From Monday 19 September 2016 we are inviting applications from those with a vision for how the building could be used to benefit the local community. The deadline for receipt of applications is midday on Friday 11 November 2016. All applications must be comprehensive, detailing the business(s) you plan to operate, expected finances, plans for maintaining and developing the building and the proposed contribution to the community. The building offers two floors suitable for a range of uses, more information about the building can be found in the tender specification which is available to download below. We welcome applications from those with plans to manage the whole building, as well as those who would require a room or space for specified times. Shortlisted applicants will be contacted for interviews in the winter. We will then work with potential businesses to come up with the best solution for use of the building and for the community.
