Tender description

National Grid is entering into contractual arrangements with Crown Hosting Data Centres Limited (a joint venture between the Minister for the Cabinet Office and Ark Data Centres Ltd) (CHDC). This adopts the form of a call-off agreement and service request form under a framework agreement (Crown Hosting Framework) that was entered into between the Cabinet Office and CHDC on 16.3.2015, along with a reversionary lease. The arrangements relate to the hosting of a data centre facility. Specifically, National Grid will be granted an interest in 2 data centre halls constructed by or on behalf of CHDC at a facility owned by Ark, to be made available for the sole use of National Grid for a period of 25 years. The hardware and software owned by National Grid, to be housed in the data centre halls, must be accompanied by special security measures and/or engages essential interests of security.
