Construction of Mixed Tenure Housing at St Leonard's Court

Tender description

The London Borough of Hackney is seeking a developer / contractor (or consortium) to construct a new mixed tenure residential block containing circa 71 homes for the St Leonards Court site as described below. • Circa 15 Social Rented (affordable) units including 8 No. 1 bed units, 2 No. 2 bed units and 5No. 3 bed units. • Circa 8 Shared Ownership (affordable) units including 2 -1 bed units and 6 - 2 bed units. • Construction of landscaped courtyards, green planted areas, refuse and recycling storage areas, bicycle storage, play areas, etc. • Infrastructure works Monetary consideration is invited for the leases of circa 48 private-for-sale units including 21 No. 1 bed units, 23 No. 2 bed units and 4 No. 3 bed units. The rented and intermediate homes will be retained by the Council. The developer / contractor will be required to purchase the leases of the 48 private for sale units. The Council will be the freeholder and will manage the leasehold flats going forward.
