The Food Standards Agency (FSA) is a non-ministerial government department governed by a Board appointed to act in the public interest, with the task of protecting consumers in relation to food. It is a UK-wide body with offices in London, Cardiff, Belfast and York. The specification outlines the Services to be provided to the Agency for the provision of a completely managed, high quality service for the provision of Sample Collection in Belfast and Larne Loughs in Northern Ireland. These services will be provided in accordance with relevant European and UK Legislation as well as agreed Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and protocols. The procurement will be managed electronically by the Food Standards Agency e-tendering portal.
