Tender description
DfE wishes to appoint one Adviser to provide intervention and improvement support in both Wirral Metropolitan Borough Council and Liverpool City Council. The Adviser will provide a clear and sustained focus on the areas for improvement and ensure independent oversight of progress in line with improvement plans. In doing so the Adviser is expected to supervise the programme of change that both Councils have embarked on, to drive forward the improvements and implement close monitoring arrangements. The Adviser will report to Ministers on progress and their views will inform decisions about the nature of the Department’s intervention in both areas.
