Tender description
The Defence Forces requirement is to procure new integrated systems of automatic (pop-up) targets for both Anti-Armour and Field Firing use on Field Firing Areas in Glen of Imaal, Co. Wicklow and Kilworth Co. Cork ranges. The Defence Forces requirement is to procure new integrated systems of automatic (pop-up) targets for both Anti-Armour and Field Firing use on Field Firing Areas in Glen of Imaal, Co. Wicklow and Kilworth Co. Cork ranges. The provision of a new integrated target system will provide rapidly deployable portable automatic target systems for live fire training on Field Training and LFTT ranges to allow Defence Forces personnel effectively and safely participate in marksmanship training. The portable automatic target systems will provide automatic pop up targets to Anti-armour shoots, Live Fire Tactical Training (LFTT) and Annual Personal Weapons Tests Stage 4/5 using a common control system, target mechanism and interchangeable equipment components. The system shall include Stationery Anti-armour Targets (SAT), Mobile Infantry Targets (MIT), Stationery Anti-armour Targets (SAT) and Mobile Anti-Armour Targets (MAT) each presenting a variety of targets shapes and size. The modular system architecture must give the user the possibility to expand the system both in numbers and capabilities over time as demand grows. Targets systems will be procured in phases and deployed on the following Defence Forces ranges: a. Glen of Imaal Anti-Armour range –Stationery Anti-armour Targets (SAT), Mobile Ant-Armour Targets (MAT). b. Glen of Imaal Armour range –Stationery Anti-armour Targets (SAT), c. Glen of Imaal Stage 5 and LFTT ranges –Stationery Anti-armour Targets (SAT), Stationery Infantry Targets (SIT) — Mobile Infantry Targets (MIT). d. Kilworth Stage 5 and new LFTT ranges –Stationery Anti-Armour Targets (SAT), Stationery Infantry Targets (SIT) — Mobile Infantry Targets (MIT) Description. This Specification describes radio-operated small-arms and anti-armour target equipment's that Defence Forces Ireland proposes to procure and install on Ranges and Field Firing Areas for the Glen of Imaal, Co. Wicklow and Kilworth Co. Cork firing ranges.
