Smoking Cessation Services in Enfield

Tender description

The purpose of stop smoking services is to reduce the number of smokers in Enfield by providing evidence-based treatment and behavioural support to smokers making quit attempts through the most cost-effective means possible. This will include work to stop people starting to smoke as well as helping people to become smoke free. The delivery for the service will reduce levels of smoking-related illness, disability, premature death, and health inequality. Support will include referring to the NHS Stop Smoking line, QuitLine, e-cigarettes, phone apps, self-help, referral to private providers or other stop smoking support. Whilst the provider may not necessarily supply the support to ensure a smoking quitter it will be their responsibility to: a) Follow-up and offer further support to the targeted populations if the quit attempt is not successful b) Collect such data as is necessary for Department of Health smoking returns and c) Make those returns.
