Summary of the work The Entry Gate Manager will manage the change process and governance of the addition of new work streams, ranging from large scale new initiatives to business as usual changes into a large scale Portfolio. They will be responsible for MI reporting and managing the flow of work through the Portfolio. Specialist role Delivery manager Expected Contract Length 6 months Latest start date 26/09/2016 Maximum Day Rate £700 Who Speclialist Work With PMO specialists, Portfolio, Programme and Project Managers, Other Delivery Managers and Digital specialists, Suppliers, Commercial and Finance specialists, Business Stakeholders and Senior Management. What Specialists Work On • Management of flow of work and governance of initiating work streams into the Immigration Portfolio • Support Senior Management team and senior stakeholders with the provision of appropriate reporting MI, KPIs and governance structures to facilitate management decision making by ensuring the status of the Portfolio is visible and current • Supporting Portfolio Managers by providing guidance to ensure that PMO practices and standards are adhered to across the Portfolio • Evolving and enhancing existing change processes Skills & Experience • 6 years experience as a minimum working in a PMO environment • Demonstrable experience of establishing Portfolio Management functions for Projects, Programmes and Portfolios in multiple environments and business domains, tailoring existing standard and in house PMO methodologies where necessary • Experience of use of industry standard Portfolio Management toolsets (such as Clarity or Plan view) in supporting the planning process and roadmap definition across a Programme and Portfolio. • Demonstrable experience of managing a Portfolio that supports both Agile and Waterfall delivery methods and techniques • Demonstrable experience of managing new work entering a Portfolio in a scaled environment, including multiple large scale programmes running along side large scale independent projects and Business as Usual work • Knowledge and experience of Management Information, including KPI definition, dashboarding and reporting • Ability and demonstrable experience of defining and enforcing appropriate governance models across stakeholder groups • Planning experience from high level, strategic roadmaps to detailed project plans Work Location Metropoint, 49 Sydenham Rd, Croydon CR0 2EU Working Arrangments Monday to Friday on site. A professional working day, hours and working pattern as needed to deliver the service in an efficient way. Mainly based between our Fleet Street, London and Croydon offices. Travel to Westminster will be required. Can the authority clarify, which specific programme within the Home Office will this role work on? The role to be undertaken is for Immigration Portfolio which consists of a number of programmes and projects within Immigration. 2. You have stated a number of working locations - please can you be more specific as to the likely daily spread between these locations The main base will be Croydon but there will be some travel to Central London 3. Will Security Clearance required (CTC level) be required BEFORE the specialist starts? The candidate will be expected to be able to achieve CTC clearance at a minimum however not having CTC at this point will not be used to exclude any potential candidate 4. What programme specifically will this role be sitting within? The role to be undertaken is for Immigration Portfolio which consists of a number of programmes and projects within Immigration 5. The title is Delivery Manager; however the role seems to be setting up a PMO. Please can you clarify, is the requirement is more for the delivery of the PMO function? The role is a delivery manager as the candidate will be responsible for rolling out Entry Gate/Change within a PMO function 6.
