Tender description

This notice gives prior information of a forthcoming procurement process to establish a Term Contract for Electrical Testing and Inspection Services for fixed wiring installations to cover Hampshire County Council (HCC), Hampshire Fire and Rescue Services, The Police and Crime Commissioner for Hampshire (for Hampshire Constabulary), and Schools with a Service Level Agreement with HCC. The proposed contract period is for 5 years, with an option to extend by a further 5 years. Suppliers interested in this procurement are invited to attend a Supplier Engagement Event hosted by Hampshire County Council. The purpose of the Supplier Engagement Event is to inform Suppliers of the aims, objectives and scope of the contract; seek Suppliers views on the proposed contract; and elicit interest from Suppliers of the contract. The proposed Electrical Testing and Inspection Contract is to cover a programme of electrical testing and inspection of fixed wired installations across a range of properties owned or managed by Hampshire County Council, Hampshire Fire and Rescue Services and the Police and Crime Commissioner for Hampshire. Property types that comprise the programme includes but is not limited to schools, special schools, corporate offices including data centres, day care centres, residential care, nursing care, libraries and museums, leisure centres, country parks, farms, residential housing, scheduled monuments, police and fire stations. The Contract will encompass: — An annual programme of prescribed properties and required works. — The rigorous 100 % electrical testing, inspection and certification of the fixed wiring installations of buildings in the programme. — Reporting of faults found.
