Tender description

The Council requires emissions testing to be completed at Saltwell and Birtley Crematoria to measure the release of the prescribed pollutants listed, and to demonstrate compliance with the emission limit values as specified, in Condition 2.1 of each of the crematorium’s Environmental Permits. The emission monitoring organisation, their monitoring staff and the laboratories involved in conducting the testing must hold relevant MCERTS / UKAS accreditation. Emission testing must be carried out according to the methods / directions stated in Section 4 of Defra’s PG Note 5/2(12) Statutory Guidance for Crematoria.
