Tender description
The National Assembly for Wales wishes to undertake a full upgrade and replacement of the entire CCTV system including cameras, control and recording equipment and cabling. Full information on the scope of the requirement is contained in the specification. Although the document is marked as “Draft”, we do not envisage making any significant change to the scope of work described in the document. The National Assembly for Wales wishes to undertake a full upgrade and replacement of the entire CCTV system including cameras, control and recording equipment, cabling, and relocation of the Security Control Room. The proposed scope of the service has been identified as comprising the following elements: Supply, install, commission, all new CCTV cameras both internally and externally for all three buildings and their environs; Supply, install, commission all new recording, control, and display equipment to be located at the new SCR location in the lower ground level of the Ty Hywel Building; Supply, install, and commission all new cabling to provide all necessary interconnections for all external CCTV cameras from camera locations to the new SCR location; Supply, install, and commission horizontal cabling and associated patch panels to provide IP interconnections from new camera locations to points of interconnection into the Employer's existing LAN; Supply, install, and commission all necessary containment to support the provision of the new CCTV system — containment standards are referred in this document; Supply, install, and commission a new Cortech Datalog 5 SMS including software, licences, hardware, and configuration/migration/programming of the new software to support all existing functions; Supply, install and commission interfaces from the new Cortech Datalog 5 in the new SCR; any IDS panels; and direct local interfaces from detection devices to the new CCTV system to provide all necessary cause and effect based triggering of changes in recording and display operation for the CCTV system; Compatibility for integration between the Cortech Datalog 5 with the following systems: CCTV System; Intruder Detection Systems; Electronic Access Control; Perimeter Intruder Detection System; Building Fire Panels; Full information on the scope of the requirement is contained in the specification.
