Workspace Company(ies) to set up and operate workspaces in the Blackhorse Lane Creative Industries Zone

Waltham Forest Council, in partnership with the Greater London Authority (GLA), is looking to appoint a suitably qualified workspace company to work with the Council to achieve the refurbishment of three workspace buildings; and operate the creative industry workspaces for 5 years. Waltham Forest Council ambition is for the project to last beyond 5 years. The Council has been successful in obtaining a grant from the GLA’s London Regeneration Fund (LRF). The project covers capital works, improvement and refurbishment of 3 buildings. Nos 3 and 10 Lockwood Way and No 5 50 Uplands. The Council will appoint 1, 2 or 3 operators for the three buildings. The operator(s) will provide their own project team including Project manager and Architect/Designer who will help to design the space and will work with the Council to deliver detailed business plan. The Council will then procure a contractor and with the operators support will oversee the conversion of the buildings. After the conversion phase the building will then be handed over to the operator to run the workspaces as a service concession for the Council.
