The Council and the CCG are committed to increasing the health and wellbeing of the population and enabling people to directly manage their own care, maximising choice, independence and control. The London Borough of Hounslow is planning to commission integrated advocacy and heatlhwatch service. The new single service model will include Independent Mental Capacity Advocacy, Independent Mental Health Advocacy, NHS Complaints Advocacy and Healthwatch service. The service will address many of the key issues set out in Hounslow’s Prevention Strategy, particularly support for people to live with greater independence and exercise choice and control. We are going out to test the market to establish whether the proposed service provision model is feasible and would invite current service providers and all interested parties to give their thoughts and comments on this.
