Tender description
The Council wishes to procure a provider for a Short Breaks Service. Provision of short breaks for carers is a statutory duty. Targeted schemes form part of the Council's Tier 2 provision and support the early intervention work for children and young people (up to the age of 18) with disabilities, including complex needs, and their families. The contract will be divided and commissioned in 2 lots; each lot providing for 1 age range. Prospective tenderers will be able to bid for 1 or both lots. Volume of provision will be on the basis of: Lot 1 — Under 11s 20 x Saturdays per year; 40 school holiday days per year. Lot 2 — Over 11s 20 x Saturdays per year. 40 school holiday days per year.
