Tender description

The London Borough of Richmond upon Thames has set out our three year Learning Disability Commissioning Strategy ‘the Big Plan’ our intention to become a commissioning authority and plans to re-commission residential and supported living accommodation. The purpose of this PIN is to engage and inform the relevant market of Richmond's Commissioning Strategies and Objectives and to assess the level of interest in providing Supported Living and Residential Services for people with learning disabilities, prior to a formal tender process. A Two stage market engagement process, inviting organisations to participate by registering on the London Tenders portal — http://londontenders.org and express your interest by searching the project by its name: ‘Delivering the Right Care and Support in the Right Place’. Please download the questionnaire, complete it and submit by 19.9.2016 10am. A Market day is scheduled for 21.9.2016; further details will be available on the portal. As part of this process the Council is reviewing the configuration of our existing provision in terms of meeting future needs and the changing expectations of families and service users. Some work has already commenced and this includes: — The transfer of existing in-house provision — Outsourcing the in house Shared Lives Scheme — Reviewing Respite provision and developing a community focused model. The second stage of our strategy is to review the remaining accommodation and commission a model of care that supports improved independent living, considers the right care and setting for older people with a learning disability and enhances the aggregated purchasing potential of service users who choose to have their assessed needs met in innovative ways. Participation in this exercise will not include or preclude organisations from participating in any procurement exercise.
