The Forestry Commission have awarded a contract which will provide felling and extraction for 2 beats; East Dean and West Dean and Herefordshire and will also include emergency tree clearance work. There may be the opportunity for additional work elsewhere in West England Forest District. The West England Forest District team sustainably manages the 37 500 ha of public forest estate in the west and south-west of England. The district extends from the Shropshire Hills southwards to the majestic oak and beech woodlands of north Wiltshire and westwards to the exposed moorland Forests of Devon and Cornwall as well as the sheltered ancient woodlands in the West Country valleys. Non Productive felling; clearing roads and ride sides of unwanted woody vegetation in West England Forest District. Felling and extraction of Hardwoods in West England Forest District. Felling and extraction of Conifers in West England Forest District.
