Tender description

Contractors are required for the construction of a foot and cycle bridge over a railway adjacent to the Cultural and Education District at Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park. The design and construction of a foot and cycle bridge across an operational railway line. An entry location to Stratford Waterfront mid-way along the site's length increasing the potential for incidental footfall to the retail outlets. Carpenters Land Bridge comprises a single span structure, based on longitudinal edge girders and deck in a half through arrangement. The longitudinal girders are rectangular boxes with stiffening expressed on external elevations. The overall length of the bridge will be approximately 70m. The overall width of the bridge is 6 metres which gives a clear internal width of 4 metres with a non-structural pergola providing containment.
