Tender description

This project is to demolish existing and design and build new office at our Tolgus Depot, which will enhance operational capability, as well as the working environment of the staff. The current office space on site consists of a concrete building of approximately 68m² and a temporary building of approximately 36m². The concrete building consists of two offices, male & females toilets (female fitted for less able visitors) and a small kitchen. The temporary building consists of one office space containing six desks. The works; The Contractor is responsible for the design of – • New office building capable of housing 12 staff, and can be spread across one or two floors. • The building shall consist of 3 office spaces, a kitchen/dining area and toilet facilities appropriate for a building of this size and occupancy and be no less than 153m² • All storm/surface and foul water drainage covers and associated drains necessitated by their design. • Area for small computer server and external installation of inverters for the wind turbine currently on site. • Electrical wiring shall be in the form of a dado style conduit that allows the placement of power sockets and later the data cables and sockets. • The building’s design and construction shall meet the requirements of any relevant Government Buying Standards and achieve BREEAM ’Very Good’ status.
