Tender description

Iarnród Éireann (IE) is a subsidiary company of Córas Iompair Éireann which is the publicly owned transport company of Ireland. Its role is to provide rail transport and Harbour Management services within the State of Ireland. The company is wholly owned by the Irish Government. The Chief Mechanical Engineer (CME) Department of IE operates and maintains several hundred railway vehicles at the following locations: • 1 Large work campus at Inchicore in Dublin; • 6 Depots at Portlaoise, Drogheda, Cork, Limerick, Fairview in Dublin and Connolly in Dublin. This project refers to the management of energy within the CME buildings. The CME department wishes to implement a department wide Energy Management Information System to include the following key components: • Meters and meter-point hardware (CTs, connectors, loggers/gateway device, pulse transmitters, cabinets etc.); • Hardware inter-connectivity; • Central datalogger and control platform, gateway and communications device; • Data warehouse and hosting; • Data presentation; The facilities energy consumption for 2014 was: • Electricity: 6.3 Million kWh • Gas: 5.6 Million kWh IE invites suitably qualified and experienced companies to participate in a tender process for: 1. The supply of equipment to measure energy consumption and transmit data to a host component; a. The installation may may be phased over the three (3) years of the contract, based on the availability of funding. 2. The provision of an Energy Management Information System, including the hosting of the service on an external Server.
